Lancaster University prize for excellence in doctoral supervision for Prof. Charles Alderson

The outstanding work carried out by university staff has been recognised with the announcement of the awards of the 2009 staff prizes.

Professor Charles Alderson received the Postdoctoral Supervision prize for his work with a large number of postgraduate students, many now academics, and a "clear dedication to challenging research students to produce work of the highest quality".

Congratulations also to Kevin Watson, who was shortlisted for a Teaching Prize.

The Staff Prizes were presented at an Awards Ceremony on Tuesday 16 June 2009.
