New confidential inquiries into drug-related deaths launched for Lancashire County

Date: 1 April 2009

Lancashire Drug and Alcohol Action Team (LDAAT) have commissioned Alison Wilson, Senior Research Associate of the Applied Social Science Unit for Research and Evaluation (ASSURE) to undertake the second Confidential Inquiry auditinto drug-related deaths for Lancashire County (including Blackburn with Darwin). This audit will establish the circumstances surrounding drug-related deaths from January to December 2008, the findings of which willbe used to propose recommendations for improvements to service provision.
