Dr. Nayanika Mookherjee speaks at the House of Lords

Dr. Nayanika Mookherjee (Sociology) spoke at a seminar in the House of Lords on 19th June on the 'Trial of War Criminals of the Bangladesh War of 1971'. This seminar was supported by the UK Parliamentary Human Rights Group, Baroness Pola Uddin and Bangla Carta 71. This seminar is related to the recent announcement of the attempt to set up a war crimes tribunal for the Bangladesh War of 1971. A report of this seminar will be sent to the Law Commission in Bangladesh which is dealing with the war crimes tribunal.
