Evidencing Prevention in Child Welfare: Nick AxfordDate: 13 October 2010 Time: October 13th, 2010. 4.30pm-6pm Venue: Bowland College North, Seminar Room 20 Nick Axford from the Dartington Social Research Unit will be delivering the first seminar in the series: Delivering Child Welfare under Conditions of Austerity. Nick's seminar will focus on trends in child-well being as well as discussing prevention programmes. This seminar series is hosted by The Child Welfare Research Unit, based in the department of Applied Social Science and is sponsored by HEIF. The seminar series is free and open to practitioners, students and academics. The seminar series is organised by Dr. Karen Broadhurst: k.broadhurst@lancaster.ac.uk Further seminars will take place on: 3rd of November: Kenneth Burns (Cork) Retaining qualified social workers in front-line child protection practice.
