Drugs, Alcohol and the Night-Time Economy Stakeholders' Knowledge Exchange Conference 2012 (NTE-SKEC)Date: 12 July 2012 Time: 10am - 4pm Venue: Lancaster University Management School The Drugs, Alcohol and the Night-Time Economy Stakeholders' Knowledge Exchange Conference 2012 (NTE-SKEC) will bring together leading academics, experts and professionals from the drugs and alcohol field and the night-time economy to exchange information and share their views on key issues relating to drugs, alcohol and the NTE in today's challenging climate. The conference will also launch the latest report from the LDAAT-funded research project by Measham, Moore and Welch at Lancaster University. This ongoing programme explores changing trends in legal and illegal drug use across Lancashire and its policy implications, through a series of studies in different leisure contexts and with different communities and social groups. The first study surveyed bar customers across Lancashire, the second featured focus groups exploring substance use issues with at-risk and non at-risk groups and the third, launched at the conference, is a pioneering survey comparing drinking and drug use in mainstream nightclubs and dance clubs across the county.
