Thesis Working Title

Exploring the Symbiotic Relationship behind the Practice of Creative Writing and Critical Theory

Research Interests

Sarah Dobbs was born in Wigan. The focus of her PhD is the symbiosis of critical and creative writing. She is interested in the ambiguous nature of gender, consciousness and perspective, the representation of identity through language, and how language can be both freeing and confining.

Sarah has had a short story broadcast on BBC7 that was developed during her MA at Lancaster and is currently working on a supernatural murder mystery, set in the UK and Japan.
