Graduation at LancasterDate: 10 December 2008 Nearly 1,000 students graduated with Higher Degrees and Diplomas from Lancaster University on Wednesday 10 December, accompanied by almost 2,500 guests. Among them were 29 students gaining an MA in Historical Research, 6 students gaining an MA in Local and Regional History, and 3 students gaining a Postgraduate Diploma in Local and Regional History. Altogether, 5 of our students were awarded a merit, 14 a distinction. One of the students gaining an MA in Historical Research was also awarded the Princess Alexandra Medal which is given to the most meritorious student within the faculty. Seven of our postgraduate research students were awarded their doctorates including Emma Vickers. Our congratulations to them all!
