Lancaster Lawyer Defends Non-Jury Trials in The Guardian

Dr Fergal Davis, a civil liberties specialist at Lancaster University Law School, has written an article for The Guardian about non-jury trials which he favours for serious crimes in certain circumstances. He argues that the fairness of the trial - to the defendant, victims and to society at large - is more important than any particular method of trial.
