PhD Impact Session

Academics are being measured more and more on their ability to achieve 'impact'. If you're a PhD student interested in using your research to achieve impact, this event is for you. Lunch provided.

Brown Bag Lunch for Enterprising Academics
14 February – 12:30 - 13:30 – FASS Meeting Room 3

This event is a chance for you to come together and discuss the challenges and successes you are experiencing in your efforts to achieve impact. Lunch provided.

Podcast Training
27 February – 13:00 - 14:30 – FASS Meeting Room 3

Podcasts are becoming an ever popular way of sharing and disseminating information to a wide variety of audiences. Learn how to create basic podcasts and how to ensure they're professional.

Knowledge Exchange (KE) Showcase Event
6 March – 13:00 - 14:30 – FASS Meeting Room 2

The KE Fellowships have been hugely successful. This event will showcase their achievements whilst also demonstrating a multitude of ways of having an impact. Refreshments provided.

Joint FASS/FST Event
7 March – 13:00 - 14:30 – FASS Meeting Room 2

FASS is very interested in increasing cross-faculty working. The Engineering Department of FST has some very interesting projects to which FASS academics could add a lot of value. Refreshments provided.

Creative Ways to Publish Research
13 March – 13:00 - 14:30 – FASS Meeting Room 2

In this session, academics will be talking about new ways in which to publish your research and reach new audiences, ensuring the biggest impact possible and the highest visibility for your work.
