Paul Kerswill gave a paper (co-authored with Mark Sebba) entitled 'From London Jamaican to British youth language: The transformation of a Caribbean post-creole repertoire into a new Multicultural London English' at the Society for Pidgin and Creole Linguistics conference at the University of Ghana at Legon, Accra. This paperis part of a project funded by Lancaster University using recently digitisedrecordings of Jamaicans and Jamaican-descended people from 1970 and 1983, alongside data collected in 2005-8.
