Past Events

The group was formed in 2008 and has held since then a number of important events.

It received funding from the HERA Networking Fund and Lancaster University's Institute of Advance Studies for a two-day international workshop held in November 2009, Dynamics of Memories.

It has also hosted workshops on the interdisciplinarity of Memory Studies, such as History and Memory (2008) and Memory and Justice (2009).

More, recently, the group hosted an event at the People's History Museum in Manchester to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Guernica bombing (April 2012), as well as a symposium on Holocaust Memories (Feburary 2012)
