CeMoRe Fellowship Awards 2014-15

We were overwhelmed by the response from our call for CeMoRe Fellowships 2014/15. There was an extremely strong field with many excellent contenders which made our task doubly difficult. However, after serious deliberations we have decided to award this year's fellowships to:

Cathy Coleborne, Professor at the University of Waikato, New Zealand - whose research will look firstly into her use of the analytical concept of mobility as it applies to the histories of immigrants in the world of colonial Australia and New Zealand and how it speaks to the work of CeMoRe researchers interested in migrants, movement, their stories and histories, and to mobility as it is examined by immigration scholars. Second, her new work which focuses on the regulation of mobility in colonial Australia and New Zealand in a social science research context. Cathy will work with Professor Lynne Pearce, English Department, Lancaster University.

Trish Flanagan, Assistant Professor at the Academy of Visual Arts Hong Kong BU - Wearable tech: engaging the city as organism the body as ecosystem - Trish's fellowship will establish a network for exchange and future research between the Wearable Lab in Hong Kong and CeMoRe Lancaster and will be working with Monika Buscher and Jen Southern.
