Ross Runciman

History Major, Graduated 2004

Ross RuncimanMy time at Lancaster University undertaking a History BA has been the best three years of my life so far. I've had the choice of many different and varied courses from the History department; indeed it is hard to make the wrong decision for a course as they are so well run. The support I've experienced has been exemplary, no problem is too small and if you're willing to work then the tutors are always there to help. Lancaster University more generally is a great place to study. The library usually has what you need and the campus is compact enough to make running to lectures a possibility the morning after a hard night out in the city. The majority of accommodation in the colleges is good, but Pendle College is the only choice for any prospective student!

In sum Lancaster University is THE place to study history, the mix of studying and leisure time is excellent. The courses and support offered by the history department are very good. If you want to undertake a history degree, Lancaster is your university; you will have a good time.
