Professor Keith Stringer awarded major grant from the AHRCDate: 12 August 2010 Professor Keith Stringer, along with colleagues at the University of Glasgow and King's College, London, has recently been awarded a major grant by the Arts and Humanities Research Council to support the research project entitled 'The Breaking of Britain: Cross-Border Society and Scottish Independence, 1216-1314'. The total award is £841,980 running from 1 Sept 2010 to 31 August 2013. Professor Stringer is also the Principal Investigator of an existing AHRC-funded project, 'The Norman Edge: Identity and State-Formation on the Frontiers of Europe, c.1050-1200'.
