Ivan Slade Prize awarded to Gemma Theobald, History Graduate 2004.Date: 1 January 2006 The Ivan Slade prize has been given to a Lancaster student for her essay on Newton's work on light and colour. The prize recognises excellence in essays which explore scientific methodology or innovation. The prize winning essay was written as part of course work for Hist237: Nature, Enlightenment and Romanticism in Britain, c.1680-c.1860. >
