HIST200: The Making of Germany, 843-1122

This course explores the story of the German Kingdom, from its origins and rise in the late ninth and tenth century, to its stunning descent into civil war and internecine conflict in the late eleventh century. This dramatic story provides many fundamental insights into the nature of the medieval society and politics.
