Lancaster University Law School scores high in the National Student Survey
In the National Student Survey for 2012 Lancaster University Law School ranked 2nd in UK for student satisfaction, with 98% of the School's students “definitely” or “mostly” satisfied with their course. We are ranked 14th in the UK in the Guardian newspaper University Guide 2013 and 15th by the Complete University Guide and the. We remain the highest ranked Law School in the North West. The Law School has an outstanding reputation for our research, which ranges from critical, socio-legal and interdisciplinary research to traditional "black letter" law. In the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise 90% of the Law School's research was rated of international standing.

We offer 4 LLB degree schemes all leading to a qualifying law degree for professional purposes.
You can study for: LLB Single Honours in Law : LLB Joint Honours in Law and Criminology : LLB Law (International) or LLB European Legal Studies.

New Law and Politics Degree Approved
Lancaster's new Law and Politics degree has been approved by the Joint Academic Standard Board of the Law Society and the Bar Council of England and Wales.
The Law and Politics degree is a three-year scheme taught by the School of Law and the Department of Politics, Philosophy and Religion. This degree gives you the opportunity to study Politics while taking courses necessary to obtain a qualifying Law degree. |
