Essential Guide 2011/12
"the information contained in the Law School Essential Guide is supplemental to that provided by the University. In light of the introduction of new assessment regulation for incoming first years and second years in 2011-2012, you are strongly advised to familiarise yourselves with the new regulations.
The Law School prohibits the recording (in any format whatsoever) of any seminar or workshop.
Lectures can only be recorded in exceptional circumstances and only once the student has sought and obtained the express agreement and permission of the lecturer who is delivering the particular lecture. Any lectures so recorded must only be used for the purposes of private academic study, and only whilst the student is registered at Lancaster University. Any recordings must not be shared or distributed in any way whatsoever.
The Law School will comply with any student's Statement of Support Needs. Where recording lectures is recommended in a Statement the student must inform the lecturer who is delivering the particular lecture of this, as a matter of courtesy and respect.
The Law School views any breach of this policy as a disciplinary offence and it will be specifically referred to in any and all references for the relevant student.
