Personal Injury Lawyering and Doing JusticeDate: 25 February 2008 Time: 4.00 pm Colin Ettinger, Hon Research Fellow, Lancaster University Law School And Partner, Irwin Mitchell, Solicitors Colin Ettinger is one of Britain's foremost lawyers acting on behalf of those who suffer serious personal injuries. He has represented many high profile clients, including the victims of the Hatfield rail disaster and the 7 July London bombings. He is a partner at Irwin Mitchell solicitors, one of the top 10 UK law firms, and a former President of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL). He has worked closely on law reform matters with the Department of Constitutional Affairs and the Ministry of Justice and has provided expert evidence to several Parliamentary committees. He has published widely in the New Law Journal, Solicitor's Law Journal, Law Society Gazette, Journal of Personal Injury Law and is a Consulting Editor for the Journal of Personal Injury Law. Colin is frequently interviewed in the media, and has appeared on many of the major news channels. This seminar will be followed a reception in the IAS foyer.
