I obtained my LLB in International Law at Eurasian National University in Kazakhstan. After working for a year in an international oil and gas company I realised that I wanted to learn more about international business and corporate law.
I won the Presidential Scholarship "Bolashak" which is the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan's International scholarship scheme managed by the British Council on behalf of the Ministry of Education and Science, Kazakhstan and this gave me a great opportunity to broaden and strengthen my knowledge abroad. I selected Lancaster University mostly for its impressive research and student satisfaction ratings - plus the Lancaster Law School offered an interesting LLM in International Business and Corporate Law.
The staff at Lancaster are friendly and supportive and the teaching methods are modern and up to date. Classes comprising over 80% international students allowed me to explore different legal systems, economic and social aspects closer than ever and, thus, conducting research became more captivating and attractive. Lancaster University made me feel very comfortable with its green campus setting and modern facilities at every turn.
I would highly recommend Lancaster University as a source of reliable and modern education.
