Introduction to LLB Undergraduate Degrees

Lancaster University Law School offers four LLB degree programmes, all leading to a qualifying law degree for professional purposes. A particular feature of LLB degrees at Lancaster is the use of innovative teaching techniques alongside traditional methods, and the incorporation of vital "soft skills", such as presentation skills, public speaking, negotiation skills, and teamworking, much sought-after by all the major graduate employers (including, of course, law firms), into the mainstream law curriculum.

LLB Degrees

LLB Single Honours in Law a three-year qualifying law degree which offers a very wide range of options with something to suit everyone.

LLB Joint Honours in Law and Criminology The Law and Criminology degree is a three-year programme of study offered jointly by the Law School and the Department of Applied Social Science, presenting the opportunity for students to obtain a qualifying law degree and, at the same time, gain an understanding of criminology.

Study Abroad

LLB Law (International) - A small number of students are admitted each year onto this four-year programme, which offers the opportunity to study law with a special international and comparative perspective, and with the opportunity to study a year abroad.

LLB European Legal Studies - A four-year programme which provides all the features of a normal LLB law degree, with a distinctive in-depth treatment of comparative law and study of a modern european language (French, German, Italian or Spanish) and with the opportunity to study a year abroad.
