Law 242 - Health Care Law I(Half unit in 1st term) ConvenorProf Hazel Biggs/Dr Sara Fovargue Health Care Law has become an area of increasing importance not only to legal and health care practitioners but also to academics and the wider public. This course examines specific areas of health care law and practice. The course considers such topics as health care ethics; rights to health care; autonomy and consent; informed decision making; regulating health care professionals and medical malpractice. Within these areas medico-legal and ethical implications are explored. This course is available to final year ELS, International and Law and Criminology students only.
