Law 262 - International Law II

(Half Unit in 2nd term)

This course addresses International law in relation to disputes between states and the international regulation of the use of force. It covers the means of international dispute-settlement, the roles of the main organs of the UN and regional organisations, legal limits on coercion in international relations, collective security, UN peacekeeping and enforcement actions, and the law of armed conflict and international humanitarian law. (This course is available to final year students who have taken Law 257 - International Law I).

Coursework 50%, Exam 50%
