Prof Sugarman gives Lecture on Human Rights in Havana, Cuba.Date: 25 January 2008 Professor David Sugarman (Law) delivered a lecture at the first international conference on international human rights in Havana, Cuba, on 15 January 2008. During his visit to Cuba, he discussed human rights issues and British Council support for academic visits to Lancaster at a 90-minute meeting with the British Ambassador. He also met with senior US officers responsible for the administration of the Guantanamo Bay detention facility as part of an international human rights delegation.
