The Nuffield Theatre at Lancaster University shortlisted for Arts Council award
Arts Council England, North West
£10,000 art08 awards shortlist announced
The Arts Council England - North West art08 awards, aim to promote and celebrate excellence and innovation in the arts across the North West and to recognise and reward those local groups, organisations and individuals who are creating truly inspiring and engaging work.
The Nuffield Theatre at Lancaster University was shortlisted in the category Inside/Outside/Online - celebrating where great art has found its way into people's lives in new and exciting ways, on the basis of last year's programming experiment, which saw artists and locals curating a year-long series of performances in the Nuffield.
There will be a special awards ceremony at Liverpool's Novas Contemporary Urban Centre on Thursday, 13 November to announce the winners. There are five award categories and an overall £10,000 prize will be awarded for Outstanding Achievement in the Arts.
The Nuffield's Artistic Director, Matt Fenton said 'it's great to be shortlisted, as nominations came from artists, arts professionals and the public.'
