Lucy Kimbell (University of Oxford), Aesthetic Play and interdisciplinary Ambiguity
Abstract:
In this talk, Lucy will discuss inter- or multi-disciplinary research and the possibilities opened up by art and design practices to question the nature of research. This will include discussion of some of her own projects including Pindices, a collaboration with sociologist Andrew Barry included in 'Making Things Public' (2005) and Rat Fair, a live event at Camden Arts Centre, 2005.
Lucy Kimbell is Clark Fellow in Design Leadership at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford with a background in interaction design and visual/live arts. Her current research interests are designing for service and managing as designing.

The idea is to explore different forms, practices and motivations around innovation.
