In 2009 the Nuffield Theatre commissioned a year-long performance that saw two artists create and inhabit a garden. Inspired by that innovative exploration of time and duration, Live at LICA and the Peter Scott Gallery have now created Time Pieces, a group exhibition that showcases 8 contemporaray artists' responses to time. The exhibition includes visual art, sculpture, short films and installations allowing the viewer to consider time and what it might mean to us: possibility, resolve, nostalgia, decay and the traces we leave behind.
Featuring Artists: Kit Abramson, Jon Aveyard, Graham Dunning, Steven Heaton, Anne Lydiat, Anna Macdonald, Angelo Picozzi, Kacper Ziemianin.
Exhibition runs Mon-Sat, 3 March - 2 April 2011
Opening event: 6.30pm, Wednesday 2 March. All are welcome.
The event includes the launch of a new limited edition publication documenting the Nuffield Theatre's year-long performance, Making Time.
