She has investigated services as complex social systems, proposing holistic and participatory approaches to Service Design. In her most recent work she focuses on the applications and implications of "Personalisation" and "Participation" in the design and supply of services; in doing so she is interested in working with and within service organisations to explore resistance to and capacity for change, with a particular focus on the health sector. She is interested in the emergence of new service models, and in the practice and theory of service innovation. Daniela was a researcher for the SDI Agency at the INDACO Department of Politecnico di Milano until April 2007.
