SLSA Systems Stream
As we enter the second call for papers the Systems stream has attracted four full panels of papers - an increase on last year. A full list of participants and their abstracts will be made available at the end of the second call.

LaSTNet Website and companion mailing list launch
Having now launched the website needs to be populated with information. Some information can be found on most of the pages but it is by no means as comprehensive as one would like. Please send suggestions for additions to the site to Tom Webb at lastnet@lancaster.ac.uk (within the scope of the aims of LaSTNet - see home page). The site is primarily intended to be a forum to make information more visible so the scope of information which might be included is broad.
It is hoped that over time the mailing list will continue to grow - to facilitate this please pass along this site&'s web address to potentially interested persons.

13th April 2011, SLSA Annual Conference 2011, University of Sussex
A themed stream entitled Systems, Complexity and Autopoiesis: Critical Perspectives and Applications was organised in April 2011 at the SLSA's Annual Conference. The stream heard nine very unique papers from ten participants demonstrating the versatility and enduring relevance of systems theory to law.
As well as the ten participants the stream was well attended by conference delegates generating interesting discussion - which as usual spilt over into the tea-break. At no point did consensus break - showing that there will still be something to talk about next time!

The SLSA Conference will next be held at Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, Scotland in Spring 2012. Hopefully the stream will run again there - again see the conference tab for updates on this.
