Executive Council

The Executive Council consists of 4 Elected Members, elected by a majority of the voting Association Membership. These Members include President, President-elect, Secretary, and Webweaver. The Executive Council works in close relation with the Advisory Council in matters of policy making and media.

Advisory Council

The Advisory Council consists of 8 Elected Members, elected by a majority of the voting Association Membership. These Members represent a broad geographic spectrum (including non-English-dominant countries). They also represent a range of countries with a range of dominant (and minority) languages. One Advisory Council Member is a Graduate Student Representative. The other members represent key areas of gender and language research, including language and sexuality, but also, together, a range of research priorities. In general, they represent the diverse interests of the Membership of the Association to the Executive Committee in matters of policy.
