European Science Foundation Exploratory Workshop: Can Complexity Improve European Health Policy?

23rd - 25th September 2009, Lancaster House Hotel

Despite increased resources and multiple reorganisations national health systems in Europe still seem to be in a state of crisis. Many of the interwoven problems of European health and health systems are based on the fundamental limitations of the dominant biomedical/bio-psychosocial models. In this workshop we will will explore a new scientific framework, Complexity, that offers a novel way for understanding and improving health at individual, group and societal levels.
