Engaging with PhilosophyThe Engaging with Philosophy project began in 2009 and concluded in June 2011. It was funded by two successive mini-project grants from the Higher Education Academy Subject Centre for Philosophical and Religious Studies. Its work was to develop and pilot an introductory philosophy course leading to the new Extended Project AS qualification. This course was designed with the intention of producing something more challenging, relevant and empowering than the current Philosophy AS/A2 syllabus, and to help students entering higher education by providing a better preparation for university-level study, whether of Philosophy or more generally. To find out more please download a copy of the Engaging with Philosophy Final Report (pdf). Teaching MaterialsHere is a selection of some of the sample teaching materials that we developed.
