Research Interests

My research interests cover the following three themes:

-European Security

-Maritime Security and Sea power

-The EU as a geopolitical actor

More precisely, I am working on the maritime dimension of the European Union; maritime security (including anti-piracy, anti-trafficking, anti-immigration, anti-terrorism); maritime geopolitics; the European Union's geopolitics (including its geopolitical discourse); energy security and the Arctic region; and borders and frontiers in IR. I am currently working on a book on the maritime dimension of the European Union.
