Postgraduate Applications:

Masters Course:

A first degree is normally a pre-requisite for entry onto the MA course, though this can be in any subject. You will be asked to give details of your academic background, work experience, and an outline of what you hope to achieve on the MA. You will also be asked to supply references and a sample of your creative work.

The deadline for applications is the last day of February in the year the course enrols. We hope to reply before the end of March. Application forms can be downloaded from the University website. Contact Lyn Kellett.

Enrolment & Application Dates:

Deadline for Applications:  the deadline for MA applications (both Campus and Distance Learning) is 30 June 2006.

Full-time campus MA begins in October each year - application deadline now 1 June 2006.  Part-time Campus MA enrols in alternate years - application deadline February 2005/February 2007. Distance Learning MA enrols in alternate years - application deadline now 1 June 2006.

MPhil/PhD Students:

Candidates should be experienced writers, usually possessing an MA in Creative Writing or other relevant subject and/or publications in book form or included in literary magazines and anthologies. They should have an original proposal for research. Contact the Postgraduate Director of Creative Writing.
