WELCOME TO THE THIRD NDCC CONFERENCE
The third international conference on New Discourses in Contemporary China is to be held in Nankai University on 15-16 May, 2009. It will be a truely international event, to be attended by discourse analysts from different countries. We are confident that the contributions from all participants will lead to important international exchanges of ideas and analyses on the stated conference themes.
The organizing committee of the NDCC 2009 conference would like to thank all those who have submitted their abstracts. By the end of February we had received 79 abstracts and we had a very rigorous
process of blind review. We have sent by email an invitation letter to those whose abstracts have been accepted and whose names have been placed on the list of presenters.
We have also written a letter to those who have submitted an abstract but whose names are not on the above name list, explaining why we have been unable to accept their abstracts or asking for a revision and re-submission.
Should you have any enquiries concerning your submitted abstract, please contact Professor Hailong Tian at h.tian@lancaster.ac.uk.
Those whose names are not on the list are also welcome to the conference, but registration by email at zhaopeng@tjcu.edu.cn is recommended.
We look forward to welcoming all participants in Tianjin, and for your convenience we provide some relevant information in the following.
