'Transnational Families Caring and Learning Through ICTs'

This paper focuses on findings from an Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) study concerning the use of information and communication technologies (ICTs) among 30 migrant workers and their learning and caring for their away-families. I will discuss these transnational dynamics across geographic borders between family (both old and young) who are often referred to as, 'the left-behinds' and their meanings.
