Designing an Inclusive Curriculum in Higher Education (DICHE)

This study is based on changes in legislation relating to the six equality groups (gender, race, disability, age, sexuality and religion and faith). There is a plethora of materials available to support the delivery of the curriculum in HE, though in constrast there is little advice available in the HE sector about how to embed the requirements of equality legislation into the content of the curriculum to ensure the entitlements of all students are met. The project, commissioned by the Higher Education Academy, aims to develop guidance that offers a range of practical ways to embed the requirements of the equality legislation within the design of the curriculum within different subject disciplines.

Download this pdf file for further information about the project.
