Community self help organisations like BDDA provide flexible and appropriate
volunteering opportunities for people to make the most of, and enhance,
their confidence and skills.
Training and support for volunteers is also important for building the
capacity of a community group by allowing it to improve the service offered.
Through effective use of volunteers BDDA offer a service by and for disabled
people, their carers and families.
Learning can provide real opportunities for adults to recognise the gain
their confidence and recognise what they can achieve.
