Aims

• To provide advocacy and support on matters relating to social services, health and lifelong learning for active citizenship.
• Practical Advice
• Provide outreach - it is often necessary to visit people in their own surroundings, when they might have initial concerns about contacting an unfamiliar organisation.
  Communication - information should be made available in different formats, and different languages.
• Educational and service providers need to be sensitive to, and aware of cultural implications, e.g. in the Pakistani culture; the disability of a family member may be regarded as a very private family matter.

If organising events, and taster sessions provide refreshments, if we offer samosas to members of our community more people attend!
