Aimhigher Lancashire

The Aimhigher Lancashire project is funded by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE). It is part of the national Aimhigher initiative that is designed to raise awareness about the benefits of higher education for all students. Universities working in partnership

One aspect of the 2008-11 Aimhigher Lancashire projects includes collaboration between the four Lancashire based universities to offer a menu of awareness and aspiration raising activities, information, advice and guidance activities and subject tasters:

Edge Hill University

Lancaster University

University of Central Lancashire

University of Cumbria

In addition the HEIs train and provide Aimhigher Associates, deliver activities for Work Based Learners, primary pupils and parents/carers.

Evaluation of Lancashire Aimhigher activities

There are 6 evaluation projects which are Partnership, Higher Education and Summer Schools, Higher Education and Aimhigher Associates, Higher Education and Campus Visits, Information, Advice and Guidance, and Families as key influencers.
