Geneva

The city of Geneva is located on the southwestern corner of Lake Geneva, in Switzerland. The site has been occupied since the Paleolithic Period, and has been occupied by the Celts, the Romans, Germans and Burgundians in more recent periods. Ruskin 's visits to Geneva included those made in 1833, 1835, 1841, 1842, 1844, 1845, 1846, 1849, 1851, 1854, 1856, 1858, 1859, 1860, 1861, 1862, 1863, 1870, 1872, 1874, 1876, 1882 and 1888.
