Postgraduate

Funding

As part of the ESRC North West Doctoral Training Centre we offer a range of funding and training opportunites for MA and PhD level study. From 2013 we will also offer AHRC scholarships for more humanities orientated students. Find out more about funding opportunities.

Research

The Department has been assessed by the UK’s official Research Assessment Exercise as being in the top 5 group of departments for the quality of its sociological research with 85% of our submission 'internationally significant'.
