Sociology Departmental Seminar with: Caroline Knowles

'Invisible' Nigerians: remapping ethnicity, migration and faith in the city'

Caroline is Head of the Centre for Urban and Community Research and Professor of Sociology at Goldsmiths College.

Much of her work involves collaboration with photographers including her latest book - 'Hong Kong:Migrant Lives, Landscapes and Journeys' (Chicago 2009) with Douglas Harper.

She has just completed a project with artist Michael Tan that follows the trail of a pair of flip-flops from China to Ethiopia. She is interested in travelling people and objects.
