Research

I am working on an ESRC funded PhD project entitled How should student unions respond to continuity, change and diversity in student drinking and abstention cultures? A study into reducing harm and promoting the safety and health and well-being of the student body.

My research interests include: drinking and abstention cultures, media representations of young people's drinking, and, more broadly,  digital cultures, insider-outsider research, self-reflexivity in research, and gender and class politics.
