Practices of Marketization: An Ethnographic Account of the Introduction of Economic Considerations into Elderly Care

My PhD thesis is about recent changes in elderly care in Germany, namely the introduction of economic considerations into long-term home care for elderly people. I want to examine the ways in which the introduction of economic considerations influences care practices. To do so I will conduct ethnographic research with two care providers in Germany and with one care provider in England.
