Visiting Students and AcademicsSociology at Lancaster welcomes visitors from other institutions, at home or abroad, to learn, study and help create a collaborative intellectual community. Visitors may be students (probably registered for a PhD or studying for an MA at another university), post-doctoral researchers or established members of the academic community. Different fee arrangements can be made to give visitors access to office space, computing and library facilities as well as the opportunity to meet our staff and students and join in with seminars workshops and other events. MA and PhD StudentsIf you are interested in visiting Sociology at Lancaster then we would encourage you to discuss this possibility informally with a staff member before submitting an application (this is not essential, but your application will need to be accepted by a staff member). Please note: You must not apply via the University on-line application system If you are accepted, then please note that fees will apply pro-rata. Current fee levels are available are available from the Student Registry. The fees must be paid upon registration with the Postgraduate Office at the start of your visit. Please note that if you wish to attend the MA and Faculty course modules you should time your visit so that it falls during the autumn and the spring terms when the majority of those modules are being taught.
