Why Study at Lancaster's Department of Sociology?
The Department of Sociology at Lancaster is renowned for its innovative teaching, combining cutting edge work on sociological topics with new approaches from other disciplinary sources including Cultural Studies, Science Technology and Society (STS), and Women's Studies. Sociology is in the Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences which is also one of the strongest in the UK, offering you an excellent choice of related courses. We want the best undergraduate students to join us so we are looking for motivated, creative, critical and hardworking undergraduate students who want to do an inspiring degree which we hope will lead you into meaningful and satisfying jobs and enable you to make a real impact on the world. We offer excellence in Sociology and Media and Cultural Studies and the area is beautiful too, close to the Lake District, a wonderful outdoors centre. The University is set in a campus with excellent and up to date facilities, including a brand new sports centre and quality student accommodation.
