I loved doing Sociology at A Level but I wasn’t sure that Lancaster was the right place for me until I came here on an open day.
The friendliness of the staff and students as well as the openness of this department made me feel that this was the right subject and the right university for me. There are plenty of ways to get involved with the department outside of academic work too, if you choose such as joining the Sociology Society, becoming a Student Representative and helping at open days.
I’m in my third year now and I know that I made the right decision choosing Sociology and Lancaster. At the end of the year, I’ll be graduating from a Top Ten university with a degree in a fresh, topical subject. Not forgetting all the lovely people I’ve met along the way.
