Lancaster Complexity NetworkFollowing discussions at Lancaster about developing a research focus around the theme of complexity the University has established Lancaster Complexity Network. This is designed to explore in a cross-faculty network the ways in which 'complexity' ideas are spreading into and across many different disciplines. The Network has had papers presented from members of all faculties as well as from external colleagues. It is organised by John Urry from the Sociology Department and contains academic staff and research students from all the faculties across the University. It meets every fortnight for lunchtime meetings (normally Wednesday 1-2pm). It also holds various larger lectures and workshops. Please contact John Urry if you would like to be added to the email list and especially if you would like to present a paper at a lunchtime meeting or if you have ideas for a larger scale workshop or guest lecture. The Network has been supported by IAS and the University's Research Committee. |
