Our commitment to research was further confirmed in the results of the recent 2008 Research Assessment Exercise, in which Lancaster Sociology was rated in the top 5 research departments in the UK. 60% of our submission judged as 'Globally/Internationally Leading' and 85% being at least 'Internationally significant'.
